The following sound work is a compilation of field recordings made in various urban transit spaces, and of the audio documentation of various media that underline the social, political, and scientific character of these tapes. This compilation is divided into four thematic categories based around different zones of interest in order to optimize the legibility of the work. Electric-digital sound interventions create a dramatic narrative that emphasizes the musical and narrative characteristic of the audio waves.

This tape documents the acoustic atmosphere created by a mechanical gear driving three high-speed escalators at Heathrow airport in London.

The composition is based on a field recording made inside a 2nd class compartment of an ICE train traveling between Nuremberg and Berlin.
      hotel room  
 
This work belongs to a series of recordings made in hotel rooms between 2000 and 2003. The acoustic urban setting also works as an abstract soundscape. The hotel room serves in this case as a resonance filter.
